Maura M. Edwards is the CEO of Speech Therapy Solutions, LLC of Madison Alabama. Maura holds a M.S. in Communications Disorders and maintains the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). She is licensed by the State of Alabama in Speech-Language Pathology and has held previous SLP licenses in the States of New York, Texas, North Carolina, and Kentucky. Maura provides speech-language therapy to the pediatric population within the Madison County area. She is associated with a variety of local agencies serving children, to include Premier Preschools and Applied Behavioral Concepts. She has over 25 years of experience diagnosing and treating speech/language delays and disorders, in a variety of settings, and across many medical diagnosises. Her passion is focused on developing and implementing functional communication plans for children, in order that they may establish and maintain life-long relationships with family and friends. Therapeutic success relies on full and active participation among the child, parents, teachers, and therapists. Personal accountability for progress is shared by all. Maura is honored and excited to be a part of North Alabama Children First alliance, an organization providing support and resources to its members and the community. Maura would like to see this organization create an efficient and easy way to notify the community of events/topics centered around the life of a child.
